A Russian doctor allegedly admitted that he killed and dismembered his date after learning she was previously a man, something she reportedly failed to tell him before they started dating.
DailyMail reports that 27-year-old Mikhail Tikhonov went on a date with Nina Surgutskaya, 25, a young woman who underwent sex reassignment surgery. Following a night out together, the pair reportedly went to Nina’s apartment in Kursk, and while getting intimate with each other, the suspect became enraged after learning his date was once a male.
“Nina invited him to her flat. They continued to drink alcohol and began to have sex. He noticed his partner had been previously a man,” police said. “She tried to continue the sex, but at that moment he grabbed her by neck and squeezed tight. He stopped only when she had no more signs of life.”

The doctor then allegedly took the victim to her bathroom, where he “cut out her internal organs” and flushed the parts down the toilet. He then cut her flesh off and baked it in the oven to “to evaporate excess liquid,” according to authorities.
Later, Tikhonov put the woman’s limbs and head into a suitcase and brought the suitcase back to his apartment, where he began sawing the parts in half, police reportedly alleged. Authorities arrived to the man’s home after Nina’s mother reported her missing, where Tikhonov reportedly admitted to the murder.
The doctor denied he was a cannibal, claiming he flushed the woman’s “meat” down the toilet after he cooked her. Police arrested him and charged the suspect with murder and corpse mutilation. If convicted, he faces 20 years in prison.
