Developing: One person in custody, multiple casualties after shooting at synagogue, cops say

Authorities in California say they detained one individual following a reported shooting at a synagogue near San Diego.

Update #1: A man has been detained for questioning in connection with a shooting incident at the Chabad of Poway synagogue. @SDSOPoway Deputies were called to Chabad Way just before 11:30 a.m. There are injuries. This is a developing situation.

According to Time, officers responded to the Chabad of Poway late Saturday morning in response to reports of an armed man on the premises.

Upon arrival, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Aaron Meleen said they found “several victims with varying injuries.”
