A 12-year-old in Texas has been charged with murder after their 10-year-old brother died of a gunshot wound.
Chron.com reports that Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s deputies responded to an emergency call Saturday afternoon at an address in Conroe to find a 10-year-old boy with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The boy was transported to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead.
Montgomery County Sheriff Lt. Scott Spencer released a statement on Twitter announcing that the 12-year-old has been taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail and is facing a murder charge.

The victim has been identified only as a 10-year-old white male, and the identity and gender of the juvenile suspect has not been released.
