Authorities had said on Tuesday they were not yet releasing a photo of Erickson while the active investigation was in its early states. In a press conference Wednesday morning, Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said that the second suspect in the fatal shooting is a juvenile female, who has not yet been identified.
Kendrick Castillo, 18, was fatally shot when he confronted one of the shooters. He was reportedly three days away from finishing his classes at STEM School Highlands Ranch before graduation.
Authorities have not yet released a motive for the shooting, as three of the seven surviving victims remain hospitalized.
