Authorities in Oklahoma say the son of reality television star Todd Chrisley has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession and faces charges in another state related to allegedly threatening his wife’s life.
According to TMZ, Kyle Chrisley, whose family is widely known for appearances on the “Chrisley Knows Best” series, is accused of having methamphetamine in his possession when officers in Okmulgee County took him into custody last week.
At that time, authorities determined he was the subject of an arrest warrant out of Georgia, as reported by Inquistr.
Alexus Chrisley, the suspect’s estranged wife, accuses him of threatening to kill her in text messages authorities in DeKalb County included in an affidavit.
He reportedly wrote that he would “end” her, concluding one message with an ominous warning.
“Im going to the streets I will get my s*** and take care of this problem with you because if I’m not with you nobody will be,” he allegedly wrote. “Bye Alexus.”
When she texted back that his message was “a threat to [her] life,” Kyle Chrisley allegedly confirmed that “it was.”
His famous father tweeted about his son’s struggle with mental illness several years ago amid news stories about the younger Chrisley.
“My son Kyle is bipolar, he suffers from mental illness, he will struggle for life,” Todd Chrisley wrote in October 2014.
