Maleah Davis: Mission to find missing little girl brings searchers to Creepy Hollow Haunted House

The search for missing Houston girl, Maleah Davis, made its way to a haunted house in Rosharon on Tuesday. Texas EquuSearch members and volunteers scoured through the Creepy Hollow Haunted House in Brazoria County and its surrounding areas, starting at around 10 a.m.

Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller didn’t explain anything more than they were basing their search off a tip sent to police, according to KHOU. The Creepy Hollow Haunted House is an expansive area with many areas to search. The outlet reports that searchers were on foot and on ATVs as they searched near the haunted house and roads to the south of the establishment.

So far, there’s been no word as to whether the searchers found anything substantial at the haunted house.

Maleah, 4, has been missing since May 3. Her stepfather, Derion Vence, 26, claimed that three Hispanic men abducted the little girl and beat him up. Authorities determined the man’s story was probably false. Houston investigators later found blood evidence inside Vence’s apartment that matched to Maleah. He’s now behind bars on suspicion of tampering with evidence, a human corpse.

Meanwhile, Maleah’s mother, Brittany Bowens, admitted that she thinks her daughter is likely deceased. According to FOX 15, a spokesperson for Bowens said that although the mother doesn’t think Maleah is alive, she desperately wants to locate her.

Maleah remains missing. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
