‘Help me, please’: New details about 8-year-old reportedly found with stranger in hotel after she was abducted on walk with mom

New details have emerged since news broke that a missing 8-year-old Texas girl had been found alive in a hotel room with the stranger accused of kidnapping her.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Salem Sabatka was reportedly walking with her mother in a Fort Worth neighborhood on Saturday when she was abducted by a man who stopped in his car and grabbed the girl.

An Amber Alert was issued soon after she disappeared and reports showed that footage from a nearby residential security camera appeared to have captured the kidnapping.

The dramatic surveillance footage reportedly reveals the girl’s mother attempt to fight off the man in the car before he shoves her away and drives off with her child.

“Help me please, someone call the police,” she reportedly screamed. “My daughter just got kidnapped.”

The U.K. Daily Mail shared a clip from the video:

In addition to images of the suspect’s vehicle, police also included a description of him as a “light skinned black male of skinny build.”

Subsequent reports reveal Sabatka was found in a room at the WoodSpring Suites Forest Hill early the next morning. She was allegedly with 51-year-old Michael Webb, who was arrested at the scene, according to Fort Worth Police Officer Buddy Calzada. Webb is expected to face criminal charges including aggravated kidnapping.

The hotel is reportedly located about eight miles from the point where Sabatka was taken. Police say two individuals reported spotting a car matching the suspect’s sedan in the parking lot of the hotel, pictured below.

Upon investigation, police say they determined that the suspect was in a room at the hotel and officers forced their way in, where they found Webb and Sabatka.

Calzada noted that the girl was transported to an area hospital for observation but appeared to be in good physical shape when she was rescued.
