A 74-year-old California woman remains at the San Francisco General Hospital almost two weeks after a stranger dragged her into his home and raped her.
FOX 2 reports that according to police, the victim was walking to a friend’s home when suspect, 47-year-old Manuel Amador, abducted her near McLaren Park in San Francisco at around 8 a.m. The victim attempted to fight her attacker off, but her overpowered her and pulled her down his driveway. In the process, a pit bull belonging to the suspect’s roommate bit the elderly woman on her ankle, foot, and left hip.
The suspect dragged the victim in his room, where he strangled and sexually assaulted her numerous times. Afterward, he dressed her and dropped her off where he found her, but she didn’t have her keys, shoes, or cellphone with her. A neighbor saw the woman and called police.

According to ABC 7, authorities arrested the man on Friday. After questioning, Amador reportedly confessed.
Although Amador doesn’t have a previous criminal record, the DA filed a motion and requested that the suspect be held without bail.
“We have serious concerns about public safety in light of the severe nature of the crimes that are alleged here,” DA Public Information Officer Max Szabo said.
Amador is being bars at the San Francisco County jail on suspicion of kidnapping and raping the woman. According to police, the pair did not know each other prior to the attack.
