Authorities in Texas say two siblings are dead and three other victims are injured after a shooting investigators are treating as a suspected murder-suicide.
According to the New York Post, Julianna Carr was hosting a housewarming party on Wednesday evening when her brother, John Wright, arrived.
He allegedly brandished a firearm and began shooting at Carr and the three other individuals, identified as a man and two women. Wright then fired at himself, causing injuries that proved fatal.
Deputies from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and emergency medical personnel arrived at the residence in Katy at about 11:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, officials pronounced Carr dead at the scene. Her brother died shortly after arriving at an area hospital.

The three other victims were still hospitalized as of the latest updates available, but were expected to live.
“Our detectives are here with our crime scene unit,” Sheriff Troy Nehls said as news of the shooting broke. “We are going to try to piece this together and determine what happened.”
Three additional party guests were reportedly able to get out of the vicinity without injury, according to KXAS. One was identified as a teen found locked inside a bathroom.
