‘I’m a good parent’: ‘Teen Mom’ star Jenelle Evans regains custody of kids weeks after dog shooting controversy

Former “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans has reportedly regained custody of her children weeks after they were removed from her home amid allegations that her husband fatally shot the family dog in front of them.

According to Radar Online, a North Carolina judge ordered that Evans’ daughter and son, Ensley, 2, and Kaiser, 5, will be returned to their mother. Jace, 9, will reportedly stay with Evans’ mother, Barbara, but the judge reinstated her regular unsupervised visits.

The reality star’s mother expressed shock and disappointment at the judge’s decision, telling the tabloid that Evans’ husband, David Eason, was antagonistic during Thursday’s hand-off and started a fight which upset Jace.

“Now they’re back with this crazed guy,” she said of her son-in-law. “He’s back in his mean s**t.”

Barbara also accused David of playing nice last weekend at Kaiser’s birthday, which was thrown by his father, Nathan. She went on to reveal that she’s going to challenge Evans’ custody rights.

“It was all a set-up. The minute it was dismissed, their whole true colors came out.”

Evans lost custody of her children in late May after Eason reportedly admitted to shooting and killing Evans’ french bulldog for biting Ensley. At the time, a judge ruled that the couple’s home posed a credible risk.

Evans and Eason reportedly picked up Eason’s daughter, Maryssa, 11, from her maternal grandmother on Thursday. Reports indicated that they’re also believed to have regained custody of Maryssa.

“I am ecstatic to regain custody of my kids,” Evans recently told Us Weekly. “Throughout this long process and final decision, I am excited to be moving forward and continuing to show America I’m a good parent.”
