YouTube star Ray Diaz arrested for sexual assault after allegations posted by 17-year-old girl: Cops

Authorities in California say a 33-year-old man known for his wide social media audience has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a juvenile teen girl.

According to CBS News, Ray Diaz was arrested in San Diego this week after the alleged victim shared her allegations to her own social media profile.

“I was just so scared always because he would yell at me always,” 17-year-old Angelica Salek claimed. “It was my fault if somebody would ever have any suspicious that him and I were dating. He would yell at me for hours.”

In a tweet acknowledging the reports, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that it was “aware of several social media posts related to a social media personality, alleging physical abuse and sexual relations with a minor,” that it takes the allegations “seriously” and would be investigating.

Authorities from Los Angeles and San Diego participated in Diaz’s arrest. He is expected to face charges related to sexual assault and remained behind bars with bail set at $500,000 as of the latest update available.

Dias has reportedly responded to the teen’s allegations by claiming they were portraying a scene in the video as part of an exercise “you learn in acting class if you study in New York City.”

LAPD Chief Michael Moore further elaborated on the case in a tweet thanking members of the public for their concern.

“We are better when we share the responsibility of making sure every member of our community is safe,” he added.
