BREAKING: Possible suspect in custody after Ole Miss student Ally Kostial is found shot to death by a lake

A possible suspect is in custody in connection to the presumed murder of University of Mississippi student Ally Kostial, who was reportedly found shot to death on Saturday morning about 20 miles from the Ole Miss campus in Oxford.

A reporter for local news station WLBT said on Twitter that Brandon Theesfeld, 22, is currently in custody at the Lafayette County jail after his arrest Monday afternoon. The booking documents do not indicate what, if any, charges he is expected to face.

CrimeOnline located two social media accounts with the name Brandon Theesfeld, indicating that he is a student at Ole Miss.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, law enforcement sources said that Kostial, 21, was shot eight times. Her body was found somewhere in the vicinity of a lake, in a remote area that is reportedly popular with ATV riders.

Kostial was last seen on Friday night. Her roommates reportedly said that she came home at midnight, but appeared to have left again, though none of the roommates heard her leave.

The relationship between Theesfeld and Kostial is not yet known.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates once more information is available.
