A 3-year-old boy in Illinois reportedly fatally shot himself in the head Sunday afternoon in what authorities are currently treating as a possible accident.
Citing Chicago police, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that family members claimed they were in another room when they heard a gunshot and found Mikah Davis severely wounded alongside a gun. Relatives rushed Davis, who reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to the face, to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
WLS reports that investigators are looking into how the toddler got access to the gun. Both parents are reportedly speaking with police amid their probe, and the Department of Children and Families is assisting in the investigation.

Chicago Police spokeswoman Sally Bown confirmed to ABC News that no arrests have been made.
