Missing Stephanie Parze’s onetime boyfriend, a person of interest in her disappearance, hangs himself in his home

The onetime boyfriend of missing New Jersey nanny Stephanie Parze was reportedly found dead of suicide.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, John Ozbilgen, 29, was found dead in his Freehold Township home after taking his own life overnight.

Ozbilgen had been named a person of interest in the disappearance of his on-and-off girlfriend, who had filed a simple assault charge against him in September. Parze, 25, has not been seen since October 30.

A NBC News 4 reporter said on Twitter Friday morning that Ozbilgen, who had been released on bail earlier this week after he was arrested on child pornography charges, is believed to have hanged himself in his home.

Authorities reportedly searched Ozbilgen’s phone as part of the missing persons investigation, and discovered multiple images of children being sexually abused. Ozbilgen had not been charged in connection with Parze’s disappearance, though prosecutors reportedly said at a bail hearing on Tuesday that the investigation found he had sent angry, profanity-laced messages to the nanny and makeup artist shortly before she was last seen. She did not reply, and had reportedly told friends she was fearful of Ozbilgen as the continued to contact her following the alleged domestic abuse incident.
