BREAKING: Woman to be charged with Heidi Broussard’s murder; neighbors say couple who lived at home where body, infant found were ‘trying for a baby’

A woman is expected to be charged with the murder of Austin mother Heidi Broussard, sources told the news station KHOU.

The woman has not yet been publicly identified. According to multiple local reports, a vehicle found at the Houston-area home where Broussard was found dead and an infant believed to be her newborn daughter was found alive is registered to a friend of Broussard’s who was questioned earlier in the missing persons investigation.

KHOU reporter spoke a neighbor who said that a man in his thirties lived in the home, along with his girlfriend, who reportedly moved in within the last two years. The neighbor said that the couple had no children and that there were no signs of trouble at the home.

Other neighbors said that the couple had been trying for a baby.

A woman at the home had been taken into custody sometime Thursday or early Friday. It is not known at this time if the man has been or will be taken into custody.
