BREAKING: Missing Tennessee tot Evelyn Boswell found deceased at family member’s property

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced Friday that they found the remains of a child that is likely missing toddler, Evelyn Boswell.

“We have a heartbreaking update in the search for #EvelynBoswell. This evening, authorities found remains believed to be those of the missing 15-month-old. An autopsy is pending and the investigation remains ongoing. Thank you for your support during this difficult process,” Tennessee Bureau of Investigation tweeted.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, along with the TBI, announced that the child’s remains were found on a family member’s property at the 500 block of Muddy Creek Road in Sullivan County. The property belonged to a family member of Evelyn’s mother, Megan “Maggie” Boswell, who is currently behind bars for giving false information during the investigation.

Authorities issued an AMBER Alert for Evelyn on February 18, after a family member reportedly contacted the Department Children’s Services. Sullivan County authorities said the family waited two months before reporting the baby missing.
