Colorado authorities are searching for a couple accused of leaving their 5-year-old daughter at home alone and never returning.
CBS9 reports that Liu Nei Li, 40, Zaiqiao Feng, 48, of Thornton, have not been seen since Monday. The pair took their 2-year-old child, Anny Li, with them but left their older child behind. Family members found the little girl at around 9:30 p.m. on March 30, outside on the front yard of the family’s home, off of 4050 block of 130th Way.
The 5-year-old, who was home alone by herself for most of Monday, told family members that her parents said they had to go to the grocery store and left without her. She’s now in the care of relatives.
According to the Thornton Police Department, the couple may be in a grey 2008 Toyota Highlander with Colorado license plate, 231-REZ. Police spokesperson Matt Barnes told The Denver Post that there is no indication of any foul play.
