In a newly uncovered email, doomsday author Chad Daybell tells his soon-to-be new wife Lori Vallow where her family members stand on a “light and dark” scale, Fox 10 reports.
“Here are the family history documents you requested,” Daybell writes in the October 18, 2018, email, along with a page explaining the scale and numbers of “light” and “dark” spirits — from 2 to 6 — and another putting Vallow’s family members on the scale.
Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, Lori Vallow’s missing children, are on the list: Tylee is a 4.1 dark spirit and JJ is 4.2 light spirit, according to Daybell.
As CrimeOnline recently reported, Lori Vallow is awaiting trial in Madison County, Idaho, on child desertion charges. Seven-year-old JJ and 17-year-old Tylee haven’t been seen since last September, and Vallow was arrested in Hawaii earlier this year when she violated a court order to produce them. She’s being held on a $1 million bond, and a judge on Friday refused to lower the bail.

According to Daybell’s explanation, the number “dark” spirits can never exceed the number of “light” spirits on earth, and lower levels — 2s and 3s — “are fluid and can change sides during earth life.”
Vallow herself, Daybell says, is a 4.3 light.
In addition to the investigation into the disappearance of the children, the Idaho Attorney General’s Office is looking into the death of Daybell’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, who died suddenlly just weeks before Chad married Vallow.
Arizona authorities are also looking into the death of Charles Vallow, Lori Vallow’s husband, who was shot to death by her brother in July. Alex Cox said that he shot Charles Vallow in self-defense, but Cox, too, died under mysterious circumstances in December. Lori, JJ, and Tylee moved to Idaho near Daybell in September, shortly before the children disappeared.
