The Rexburg Police department issued a news release on Tuesday confirming once again that unidentified human remains were found on Chad Daybell’s property in Salem, Idaho, just outside of Rexburg.
“Investigators are continuing to pursue the property for any other information they can find related to this case. Chad Daybell, who resides at that residence, has been taken into custody with charges pending,” the statement reads.
It is not clear if authorities are planning a second press conference on Tuesday. The news release issued just after 4:30 p.m. local time in Rexburg does not indicate when police will share further information.
UPDATE:
Rexburg Police confirmed in a news conference on Tuesday afternoon that human remains were found on Chad Daybell’s property, and that Daybell was taken into custody for questioning. The remains have not been identified.

Investigators have reportedly found human remains at the home of Chad Daybell, Lori Vallow’s husband, though authorities have not confirmed this.
Fox 10 reporter Justin Lum said on Twitter that two sources told him human remains have been found on the property, just hours after authorities issued a search warrant for Chad Daybell’s home in Salem, Idaho.
CrimeOnline had also received a tip that remains were found, and did not immediately hear back from Rexburg police when we contacted them for confirmation.

Lori Vallow’s two children, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, have not been seen since September.
