A New York man was found dead inside a luxury Manhattan condo on Tuesday afternoon, according to the New York Post.
Sources reportedly said that the victim, only identified as a 34-year-old male, was found with his legs, knees, head and other body parts cut off inside a condo at 265 East Houston Street.
Police questioned a woman found crying and hysterical at the scene, but her relationship to the victim is unclear.
“She was really upset. Crying. Shaking,” neighbor Danny Faust told The Post. “She was just sitting there but you can tell her legs were shaking. She’s nervous. She was crying like, you know, wiping her eyes.”

The New York Times reports that several plastic bags were found inside the apartment and an electric saw was sitting by the victim’s torso. It was still plugged into an outlet when authorities arrived at the grisly scene.
Detectives are working to figure out if police may have interrupted a murderer dismembering the victim when they arrived. No one has yet been named a suspect. Authorities theorized the suspect may have fled after spotting the police.
So far, the death has not been officially labeled a homicide. A medical examiner is currently working to figure out the cause of death.
