FOUND: 11-year-old girl disappears while taking out trash, family says

UPDATE: Miami police announced 11-year-old Jayla Jones has been found.

Authorities in Florida are looking for an 11-year-old girl who reportedly vanished Monday morning while taking out the trash.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing person alert for Jayla Jones. Jones was last seen in the 100 block of Northeast 67th Street in Miami.

According to WPLG, relatives said Jones told her mother she was going to take out the garbage but never returned.

Authorities said Jones is 5-foot-2, 100 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was reportedly wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts at the time of her disappearance.
