UPDATE

The AMBER Alert for a missing Miami girl has been canceled. She’s been found safe, according to police. No further information is available at this time.

Original Story

It’s been over three days since Randi Canion disappeared from her Miami home, and authorities believe she may be in danger.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, 10-year-old Randi was last at around 11 p.m. seen on September 5th, close to North Bayshore Drive and 78th Street. On Tuesday, officials issued an AMBER Alert.

According to Local 10 News, Randi has a history of running away from home, but typically stays in contact with her family.

“In none of the other times she’s run away has it gone for this long, and they’ve also had some sort of communication with her,” Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department said.

A woman who said she was Randi’s caretaker told Local News 10 that she’s been taking care of the child for the past seven years. The caretaker added that although they have no idea where she is, she could possibly be “with a man who was last seen driving a white van.”

Vega confirmed that authorities are aware of the possible man and van.

“She may be with a white male inside a white van. This is all the information we have at this time on the possible person that she is with and the possible vehicle she may be in,” Vega told CBS Miami.

Randi stands 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Miami Police Department at 305-603-6300 or 305-579-6111.
