Louisiana police are searching for one of three brothers accused of breaking into a bathroom and raping a child.
CBS 4 reports that brothers Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez, both 35, have been arrested and booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna on charges of first-degree rape charges. Their brother, 31-year-old Elder Paz-Perez, is on the run.
According to police, all three brothers, who know the victim’s family, were alone in a Kenner home on September 9 when they offered the victim money and made sexual advances toward her. According to the Kenner Police Department, the suspects lived in the home with the victim.
The girl, apparently scared of the men’s advances, ran to the bathroom and locked herself inside. The brothers allegedly broke into the bathroom and raped her, police said.
After their arrests, Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez gave differing accounts of what happened during the incident in question, Nola.com reports.
Anyone with information on Elder Paz- Perez’s whereabouts should call the Kenner Police at (504) 712-2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
