Florida police are searching for the person responsible for shooting a 3-year-old Florida boy in the head, killing him.
Fox News reports that the incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday night, at a home off of Drexel Avenue in Pine Hills. Daquane James Felix Jr., who celebrated his third birthday days earlier, was shot and killed while inside the residence.
“I looked and seen that my grandbaby was laying in there with a bullet hole in his head,” grandmother, Veronica Felix, who witnessed the shooting, said.
Orlando Sentinel reports that numerous bullets flew into the home in what police are calling a gang retaliation drive-by shooting. The name of the intended target has not been released, but investigators said a “gang member” lived at the home.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the incident is among one of the many shootings that stem from a rivalry between the gangs, “438” and “All Family No Friends.”
