MISSING: Young boy disappears after home catches on fire from intentional arson [Police]

Pennsylvania authorities are searching for a 6-year-old boy who hasn’t been since visiting his father over the weekend.

NBC Philadelphia reports that Isaac Hwang spent the weekend at his father’s home in Wyncote, in Montgomery County, and failed to return to his mother’s home on Monday. Authorities performing a welfare check went to the home of the boy’s father, Jaemyung Hwang, and discovered the residence had been intentionally set on fire.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the boy could be in the company of his father, who’s known to drive a 2021 blue BMW X5 with a temporary Virginia tag, U44997.

Isaac is described as an Asian male who stands 4-feet tall and weighs 70 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Jaemyung is described as an Asian male who stands 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said there were no injuries reported during the house fire. However, they believe that the boy may be in imminent danger.

Anyone with information on the pair’s whereabouts should contact Cheltenham Township PD at 215-885-1600 ext. 0, or dial 911.
