Endangered Missing Juvenile Alert issued for autistic boy who vanished days ago

Philadelphia authorities issued an Endangered Missing Juvenile alert for a 13-year-old with mild autism, who has been missing for days.

NBC 10 reports that Jalen Maxwell was last seen on Friday at around 6:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of Anchor Street. According to the principal of St. Martin of Tours, where Jalen attends school, the teen may not respond to strangers.

Jalen is described as a Black male who stands 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

The missing teen was last seen wearing a green Children’s Place jacket (with fur around the hood), a blue and black backpack, and red and black Adidas shoes.

“He’s just the best kid. My heart is breaking, and I just want him to come home,” the boy’s mother, Prisalla Maxwell, told CBS Philly, adding that her son has never disappeared before.

“I just keep praying that someone sees his face and he just wants to come home. He just says please take me home.”

Anyone with information on Jalen’s whereabouts should contact Northeast Detectives at 215-686-3153 or call 911.
