URGENT MISSING: College football player who vanished four days ago may be in ’emotional distress’ [Police]

Authorities in Maryland are looking for a college football player who reportedly has not been seen or heard from since Monday.

Baltimore County police said in a statement that Benedict Umunakwe, 22, was last seen in Towson and may be experiencing emotional distress. Umunakwe is a Towson University football player, according to WJZ.

Umunakwe was described as being 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing his football jersey, which is a black sweatshirt with a gold number 21 on the back.

Police said he may be driving a dark blue Hyundai Sonata with a New York tag reading JJZ5811.
