Ontario Provincial authorities in Canada are searching for a 3-year-old boy who disappeared from his family home over the weekend.
The Ottowa Citizen reports that Jude Leyton wandered from his family’s home off of Canoe Lake Road in Fermoy, near Eastern Ontario, on Sunday at around 11 a.m. Authorities said it doesn’t appear at this point that foul play was involved in the boy’s disappearance.
Authorities said the boy’s family was staying at The Bing Retreat, a 200-acre fishing resort. Global News reports that an intense search has been underway, which included drones, helicopters, and tracking dogs.
“Terrain is definitely a challenge and the cooler temperatures is making it challenging for the search and rescue teams and also for the little one,” Const. Curtis Dick with the Frontenac OPP said.
