Authorities in Chaffee County, Colorado, will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. Mountain Times Wednesday, hours after the husband of a missing woman was arrested on multiple charges, including murder.
Suzanne Morphew’s husband Barry Morphew is reportedly in custody at the Chaffee County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and attempting to influence a public servant. Court documents indicate investigators believe Suzanne Morphew was killed on May 10, 2020; the day she was reported missing.
Investigators had not previously named Morphew a suspect or a person of interest; though police never confirmed his alibi for the weekend his wife disappeared.
Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze and 11th Judicial District Attorney Linda Stanley will reportedly host the 3 p.m. MT press conference (5 p.m. ET). Watch live at CBS Denver.
