Police continue search for missing young man with schizophrenia

Georgia authorities are searching for a man who disappeared from his home on Sunday evening.

WSB-TV reports that 23-year-old Aurelio Barber disappeared from his home off of Freeman Road in Jonesboro at around 6 p.m. Family members, who told police that Barber has schizophrenia and psychosis, said he left by foot and has not been seen since.

Barber is described as a Black male who stands 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shoes, black pants, and a black shirt.

Anyone with any information on Barber’s whereabouts should call the Clayton County Police Department at (770) 477-3550, extension 8.
