Two members South Carolina’s prominent Murdaugh family appeared on “Good Morning America” Thursday morning, appealing for help finding the killers of 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh and his mother Maggie Murdaugh, 52.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Paul Murdaugh’s father and Maggie Murdaugh’s husband Alex Murdaugh were found dead the night of June 7 at their hunting lodge in Colleton County, both with multiple gunshot wounds. Alex Murdaugh had reportedly been visiting his ailing father in the hospital that night before coming home to discover the bodies. The elder Murdaugh later the same week, of apparent natural causes.

As ABC 4 News reports, Alex’s brothers John Marvin Murdaugh and Randy Murdaugh said on GMA Thursday morning that they have no idea who would want to hurt Paul and his mother, and asked for anyone who might have information about the killer or killers to come forward.

“The person that did this is out there and there’s information however big or however small it is,” Randy Murdaugh said.

Both brothers said they did not believe the family had any real enemies, though John Marvin Murdaugh said that Paul had received threatening texts before his death.

“I didn’t think it was credible threats. If it was, I would’ve tried to do something or notify someone. But I guess, maybe, I made a mistake,” John Marvin said in the Thursday morning news segment.

Paul Murdaugh was awaiting trial for the February 2019 death of Mallory Beach. The 19-year-old woman was thrown from a boat that Paul Murdoch was driving and crashed, allegedly while intoxicated. Beach’s body was not found for a week after the crash.

As FITSNews notes, the Murdaugh family has not offered any reward money for tips. Authorities have not publicly named any suspects, and have released very little information about the ongoing investigation.
