New York authorities are searching for three people accused of yanking a cash register out of a Bronx store
According to police, the incident happened around 10:50 p.m. on July 29, at a smoke shop on Soundview Avenue. Three suspects walked into the store in the Clason Point neighborhood and while one suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier, another suspect grabbed the cash register.
Pix11 News reports that the suspect yanked at the cash register until the cord ripped out. A third suspect used a baseball bat to break a glass display before they all fled the store.
The suspects fled northbound on Soundview Avenue in a grey sedan, according to police.
