Former child actor Matthew Mindler was found dead Saturday, just days after he went missing from his Pennsylvania college campus.
The 19-year-old Mindler, known for his role in the 2011 film “Our Idiot Brother,” was last seen shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, walking from the West Villages residence hall at Millersville University to a parking lot, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
He did not return to his room, and a family spokesperson said he had not returned calls from friends and family.

“It is with a grieving heart that I let you know of the death of 19-year-old Matthew Mindler from Hellertown, Pennsylvania, a first-year student at Millersville University,” university President Daniel A. Wubah said in a statement posted on the school’s social media accounts.” Our thoughts of comfort and peace are with his friends and family during this difficult time.”
Wubah said Mindler’s body was found in Manor Township, not far from the university’s campus in Millersville. The coroner is conducting an autopsy, he said.
He provided no further details.
In addition to “Our Idiot Brother” with Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, and Zooey Deschanel, Mindler appeared in “As the World Turns” and short features “Frequency” and “Solo.” His last project was the television movie “Chad: An American Boy” in 2016, Variety reported.
