Petito and Laundrie

He ‘Hit Her’: 911 Caller Said Brian Laundrie Slapped, Hit Gabby Petito Weeks Before Presumed Death

The release of a 911 call involving Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie alleges that Laundrie was being physically violent with Petito, following earlier reports indicating the woman had physically lashed out at Laundrie.

“I would like to report a domestic dispute,” the unidentified caller says in the 911 call audio obtained by Fox News. The recording was posted on Twitter While the post does not explicitly state the 911 call was made on August 12, the day Petito and Laundrie were apprehended by police in Utah following a witness report of a domestic incident, information provided by the caller strongly indicates it was part of the same incident.

“We drove by and the gentlemen was slapping the girl,” the caller says when asked what the pair was doing before they drove off in Petito’s converted camper van.

“They ran up and down the sidewalk, and he proceeded to hit her, they hopped in the car. And they drove off.”

CrimeOnline is working to confirm that the 911 call is connected to the same August 12 incident documented in a police report and body cam footage previously published by CrimeOnline.

It is unclear at this time why the contents of the above 911 recording were not reflected in the report, which stated that Petito had lunged at and scratched Laundrie.

CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
