Attorney: Family ‘Definitely Concerned’ About Brian Laundrie, Who Has Been Missing for a Week

The attorney for Brian Laundrie’s family said they are “definitely concerned” for him as he has not been seen or heard from for more than a week.

Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino told WPBF that thee family does not “want to speculate as to anything more” regarding Brian Laundrie’s whereabouts and safety. According to reports, Laundrie, 23, was last seen on September 14 leaving his family’s North Port, Florida, home.

On Sunday, the body of his girlfriend, Gabrielle Petito, 22, was discovered in the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area in the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. An autopsy that was conducted this week determined her preliminary manner of death was a homicide.

Laundrie, who was deemed a person of interest in Petito’s initial disappearance, is believed to have gone to the Carlton Reserve, a 24,000-acre preserve in Sarasota County, Florida. North Port police confirmed this Tuesday that they are reconvening their search for Laundrie at the preserve.
