MISSING: Teen Girl Possibly Abducted While Going Home from Campground Party

Police in California are searching for a teen girl who disappeared over the weekend after attending a campground party with a group of people.

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Kiely Rodni was last seen Saturday at around 12:30 a.m., close to the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee. She left the campground after attending a “large party that night, alongside more than 100 young adults,” ABC News reports.

Police said that the teen’s vehicle, described as a 2013 silver Honda CRV with a California tag, 8YUR127, is also missing. Kiely’s mother pleaded to the public over the weekend in hopes of finding her daughter safe and bringing her home.

“We’re so scared and we miss her so much, and we love her so much,” Lindsey Rodni-Nieman said. “If anybody else out there, if you know where she is, if you know anything about where she might be… please come forward and share them.”

DailyMail reports that Kiely’s family manages The Lost Trail Lodge, a hotel located at the property where they live. Kiely reportedly disappeared around 12 miles from the property.

Kiely is described as a white female who stands 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs around 115 pounds. She has blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a nose ring. She was last seen wearing green Dickies pants and a black tank top.

CBS News reports that Kiely’s friend, Sami Smith, said she was with the teen most of the night and that Kiely had plans to stay the night at the campground.

“I know that she wasn’t in the right mindset or state to drive. And if she were to have driven, she wouldn’t have made it far,” Smith said.

“So my concern is that somebody might have offered to drive her home and then didn’t take her home.”

Investigators consider the teen’s disappearance as suspicious and as a possible abduction, although no suspects or persons of interest have been named.

Anyone with information about Kiely’s whereabouts should contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office at 530-886-5375. An anonymous tip line has been set up for the case at 530-581-6320 (press option 7).
