Queen Elizabeth II Dies at Age 96 in Her ‘Beloved Summer Home’

Queen Elizabeth II, of England, passed away Thursday at the age of 96.

According to The New York Times, doctors recently placed the queen under medical supervision at her Baltamora Castle in the Scottish Islands, described as her “beloved Summer home.”

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow,” Buckingham Palace tweeted.

Queen Elizabeth II is survived by four children, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
