Update

Oklahoma authorities said Tuesday that Samantha Barnes has been found safe. No additional information is available at this time.

Original Story

Oklahoma police are searching for a teen girl who vanished on April 3 and hasn’t been in contact with her family.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Samantha Jo Ann Barnes disappeared at around midnight from the Deer Creek area. A tweet from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicated that she was last seen in a light-colored hoodie and could possibly be headed to or in Wichita, Kansas.

She could possibly be with a man named Axel, ABC 5 reports.

KAKE reports that family members said they’re concerned for Samantha’s health; she doesn’t have her medication or her phone with her. She’s also reportedly known to self-harm and “considered suicidal.”

She’s described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. Police said Samantha has four piercings in each ear, along with a slightly “lazy eye” in her left eye.

“If you see her, please call Oklahoma County Sheriffs Office Investigators at (405) 713-1017 or (405) 869-2501 after hours,” Oklahoma County SO wrote on Facebook.

This is a developing story and will be updated as additional information becomes available. Check back for updates.
