Shock ‘Bachelor’ arrest: Chris Soules behind bars after deadly hit-and-run with John Deere

Former Bachelor Chris Soules was arrested Monday night after he allegedly fled the scene of a deadly accident.

According to TMZ, Soules is in custody in his home state of Iowa after “allegedly slamming into a tractor … killing the driver and then fleeing the scene.”

The 35-year-old was reportedly driving a Chevy truck when he rear-ended a John Deere tractor, sending it to a ditch. The driver of the tractor, who has not been identified, died at a nearby hospital.

It is unclear if there were drugs or alcohol involved in the accident, or how Soules was apprehended.

Soules was the star of The Bachelor in 2015, when he was dubbed “Prince Farming” because of his devotion to his family’s farm in Arlington, Iowa, and his condition that his future wife join him there. At the end of the season, he proposed to contestant Whitney Bischoff, but they split two months later.
