Four dead, 22-year-old arrested in ‘tragic family violence’ bloodbath

Four people are dead in what authorities are describing a tragic case of family violence.

WCVB reports that four adults were found dead of blunt force trauma in the remote town of Groton, Massachusetts. The victims have not yet been identified, but police said two of the victims are an elderly man and woman, and two are middle-aged women.

A WCVB news broadcast indicates that a baseball bat may have been a murder weapon. Three of the bodies were reportedly found inside the home, while a fourth was found in an undisclosed location outside the home.

Authorities have taken Orion Krause, 22, into custody on suspicion of murder. He is believed to be related in some way to the victims, thought the exact nature of the relationship has not yet been disclosed.

“It appears to be a situation of tragic family violence,” Middlesex County District Attorney Maryann Ryan told the news station.

Police have reassured residents that there is no threat to the public.

“This was not a random act,” Groton Police Chief Donald Palma said in a press conference.

Krause has reportedly been charged with four counts of murder.

CrimeOnline will provide additional updates when more information becomes available.
