SEE IT: Video of Florida daycare workers taunting, berating autistic boy as he cries

Police in Florida have released video of two female daycare workers taunting and berating an autistic boy.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, police are looking for Kaderrica Smith, 26, and Alexus Henderson, 20, who allegedly terrorized an 8 year-old boy at a Winter Haven daycare center. The alleged abuse was captured on video, and caused the little boy, who has reportedly been diagnosed with autism and ADHD, to hide under a table in tears while the women allegedly continued to taunt and harass him.

“Chicken, chicken, chicken,” one of the women can be heard saying to the boy.

10 news obtained the video which had initially been uploaded to Snaphchat:

Both women have been fired from the daycare center. WTSP reports that as of Friday, following a brief police search, both have turned themselves in to the Winter Haven Police Department.

Smith has been charged with child abuse and battery, and is being held without bail. Henderson was charged with child neglect and has been released on bond.

“These workers were supposed to be trained in how to handle children with behavioral issues,” Winter Haven Police Chief Charlie Bird told the news station.

“They are trained to de-escalate situations, but that obviously did not happen.”

The little boy was not seriously injured and did not require medical attention.
