Anthony Bourdain’s girlfriend Asia Argento shared cryptic Instagram post hours before suicide was reported

Just hours before CNN broke the news of Anthony Bourdain’s sudden death, his girlfriend Asia Argento posted a cryptic Instagram story indicating she was angry about something.

People magazine reports that Argento posted a since-deleted Instagram story of herself wearing a T-shirt that read: “F*** everyone,” with the caption, “You know who you are.” The T-shirt also features an illustration that resembles Sid Vicious, the frontman of the Sex Pistols who died in 1979.

According to The Blast, Argento deleted the Instagram story post shortly after the news broke about Bourdain’s apparent suicide.

Later on Thursday, the Italian actress released a statement on Twitter.

“Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”

Asia Argento, 42, is a veteran actress and was one of the first Harvey Weinstein accusers, revealing late last year that he had allegedly sexually assaulted her. Bourdain was a strong supporter of Argento and the #MeToo movement, speaking firmly on the side of accusers as claims of sexual misconduct came from within the culinary world.

According to the People report, Argento’s Instagram geotags earlier Thursday indicated she was in Rome, where she is based. Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room in France.
