A convicted child rapist has escaped from prison just three days after arriving to the correctional facility, Fox News reports.

Cowley County Emergency Communications department announced in a Facebook post that Robert Terrell, 36, escaped from the Winfield Correctional Facility by jumping a fence just before 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The public has been warned not to approach the inmate if seen, but to immediately call 911.

According to Kansas Department of Corrections records obtained by the Wichita Eagle, Terrell was convicted of raping a child in 2002 . He was arrested on suspicion of a parole violation on July 3, and had been moved to the Winfield Correctional Facility on Wednesday.

Terrell is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 154 pounds. He is white with red hair. No clothing description was available.

Anyone who sees Terrell is urged to call 911 immediately.
