“I hear somebody say, ‘Get out of the car,’” Gil told Channel 2 in July. “He’s ducking down like something is wrong. At this point, I’m just trying to get to him. And then it’s just shot and shot after shot.”

According to court documents, when George returned from watching “The Lion King” with his family in July, he noticed his someone had broken into their home, off of Hickory Trail home Mableton.

The victim then saw a suspicious-looking car close to his home and walked over to check it out. When he got close to the car, George saw his clothes and merchandise he intended to sell online inside the vehicle. Around the same time, someone inside the car pulled out a gun and shot the victim numerous times. Authorities said the man died at the scene.

George leaves behind daughter Marleigh, 6, and son Gavin, 1.

So far, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Check back with CrimeOnline for details.
