Casey Anthony’s mother rushed to hospital, suffering ill health since daughter’s media resurgence: Report

Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony’s mother, was rushed to the hospital last week due to unspecified “kidney issues,” the New York Post reports.

The news comes amid additional reports that Cindy has been suffering both physically and emotionally since her daughter Casey resurfaced in the media, and George and Cindy Anthony agreed to participate in a documentary miniseries about their granddaughter Caylee Anthony’s death.

Casey’s parents revisited the 2008 disappearance and death of their granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, for the three-part A&E miniseries Casey Anthony: An American Murder Mystery in April.

“She had three panic attacks … There were paramedics on set. We talked to her for over a week — from the beginning of the case to the end, reliving when she was told Casey was pregnant — and the whole thing brought on these panic attacks,” a source told the New York Post.

Casey Anthony: An American Murder Mystery provided never-before-seen jailhouse footage of Casey talking to her parents on the phone, as Cindy Anthony tries desperately to get Casey to explain what might have happened to her toddler daughter, who was missing for a month before the family contacted the police.

The miniseries also closely examined the story Casey first gave police about her daughter’s disappearance, which was later found to be filled with fantastical lies.

Caylee Anthony’s body was found in December 2008, in a wooded area not far from the Anthony’s Orlando, Florida, home. Casey was acquitted of her daughter’s murder in 2011, and remained silent until February of this year, when she gave an interview to the Associated Press. During the interview she said she slept “pretty good at night” and insisted that she still did not know what happened to her daughter.
