Police revise death toll at Ariana Grande concert explosion; deadly blast treated as terror attack

Greater Manchester Police have released a statement on the fatalities and injuries from a deadly explosion at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena Monday night.

“19 people have been confirmed dead, with around 50 others injured,” read the statement obtained by Manchester Evening News. 

The newspaper also reports that the incident is now being treated as a terrorist attack.

Crime Online had previously reported, based on an NBC News report, that 20 people had been killed and hundreds possibly injured.

Manchester Evening News also reports there were two separate explosions in the arena.
