Beware of the cat! Bobcat traps mom and two kids inside home

A mom and her two young children feel lucky to be alive after a bobcat trapped them in the Washington Township, New Jersey, home on Wednesday.

NJ.com reports that authorities responded to a call from a frantic mother inside a home off of East Mill Road at a little before 6 p.m. According to Sgt. Robert Oranchak, the mom locked herself and her kids in the bathroom after spotting a bobcat by her back door.

The bobcat somehow made its way into the house and when the officers arrived, they spotted it in the kitchen. After around an hour, the bobcat jumped out of the window and ran off.

No one was hurt during the incident, including the bobcat.
