Carla Ferrigno is one of five dozen women who claim Bill Cosby sexually assaulted them over the past five decades. Now the wife of Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno, she was an 18-year-old Playboy bunny when she was invited her to Cosby’s Los Angeles home in 1966.
Ferrigno was on a double date that included Cosby and his wife Camille. The two couples went to Cosby’s Beverly Hills home after going to a movie theater. “I certainly didn’t go over because he was a celebrity, I went because I was having a nice time with my date.”
“I was 18 years old,” Ferrigno said. “I just wanted to have fun.”
Cosby “was so nice” for most of the evening, she said. “He acted like he was playing with a child with me.”
When Cosby offered her a drink, she said no. Ferrigno realized, however, that Camille Cosby and her date had disappeared while she and Cosby were playing a game of pool.
“Where did your wife go?” she asked him.
“Oh, she probably went to bed,” he answered.
“My back was to him, when I turned back around, he lunged at me. He jumped me. I was in shock and I pushed him with all the strength I had. He grabbed me and kissed me on the mouth. It was awful.”
Cosby was “no longer the fun, happy guy,” Ferrigno said. “He looked liked the devil.”
Ferrigno ran down a hallway and found her date. “I was a tough street girl. I knew how to take care of myself. The reason I got away was that I didn’t drink anything.”
Ferrigno never spoke about it to her date or anyone else for many years. She finally told her husband after Andrea Constand’s allegations against Cosby were made public in 2005. She went public with her own story in 2014 when she learned about the dozens of other alleged victims. “Their stories were so tragic and it ruined so many lives and I was the one who got away,” Ferrigno said.
As she waits for a verdict in Cosby’s sex assault trial in Pennsylvania, Ferrigno shared her story with Nancy Grace in this “Crime Stories” episode.
