Florida private investigator allegedly punches husband in face for interrupting her private moment; charged with domestic assault

Her husband thought she was having sex with another man. Alas, she was alone.

A Florida woman has been charged with domestic battery after she allegedly assaulted her husband for interrupting her while she was pleasuring herself.

The New York Post reports that Flavia Higgs, 42, was arrested after she reportedly punched her husband during a wild misunderstanding involving self-stimulation.

According to a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun, Higgs, a licensed private investigator, was arrested on September 7 on suspicion that she punched her husband in the face after he stormed into her bedroom at their home in Port St. Lucie.

Flavia reportedly lives with her estranged husband, Garrett Higgs, 43, though the couple has separate bedrooms. Garrett told police that he came home that day to the sound of “moaning in the house.”

Mistakenly believing that Flavia was having sex with another man, Garrett said he knocked on the bedroom door, but his estranged wife did not answer, according to the police report.

Then, not unlike his wife, he took matters into his own hands.

“He banged and she would not answer the door. He said he thought there was another man in his house and he used a screwdriver to open the door.”

Flavia then tried to get him out of the room, and her husband allegedly pushed past her and pressed her arm against a wall. That’s when she allegedly punched him in the face.

“He wasn’t sure if it was open or closed handed,” the report states. “When this happened they both started screaming and yelling and she called 911.”

The responding officer reportedly wrote in the report that Flavia was arrested because she was the “first to initiate physical contact,” despite her apparent claim that her husband was physically aggressive with her before she allegedly punched him. The woman reportedly admitted that she had been masturbating when her estranged husband busted in on her.

Flavia Higgs was reportedly briefly booked into St. Lucie County jail and has since been released. No one was seriously injured.
