Two victims in their 20s found dead in luxury apartment in apparent murder-suicide

A young man and a woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Columbus, Ohio.

WMCH reports that police found the body of a man and a woman dead of gunshot wounds early Sunday morning in an apartment at  Taylor House Luxury Community. Police had responded to a distress call after a friend of the woman’s, concerned about her safety, went to the apartment to check on her and found both victims shot. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet released the identities of the victims.

Detective Dave Sicilian with the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Unit told the news station that neighbors had heard loud voices coming from the apartment before the bodies were found. He confirmed that the deaths appear to be the result of a murder-suicide and that the man appears to have shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.

Police are continuing to investigate what they said was an unusual incident for this location as a domestic violence situation.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
